| Who is Michael McGrath? First of all: What? You don't know who Michael is? Well you've been missing out! If you have ever followed Broadway/Off-Broadway Theatre, you should know who he is. Although, even if you've been following closely, Michael may have been just off the radar, which is understandable. For most of his career, Michael has been a "character" actor with mostly minor or supporting roles, but has also been lucky to have some breakthrough performances as Understudy to the likes of "better-known" performers such as Martin Short. (Sometimes on very short notice.) He's the "Underdog" that comes through every time with great aplomb, and does not disappoint. Despite all the tremendous amount of work Michael has logged as a "song-and-dance-man" over the years, it hasn't been until recent months that he's gotten the media attention he's long deserved. However, he's been one of those rare steadily working actors for well over 20 years now. So, while most people may shrug in confusion at the mention of his name, Michael has actually been one very busy actor for most of his career, even if he hasn't been the most well-known person on stage. Needless to say, the Irish luck has been smiling upon Mr. McGrath through thick and thin. ^_^ Michael met equally-talented wife Toni DiBuono while working/co-starring in the Boston production of the Off-Broadway show Forbidden Broadway. (For more info on Toni, you can go here.) Editor's Note: They do an especially lovely duet in the opening number, "Opening/Who Do They Know" on the Forbidden Broadway, Vol. 2 CD. Michael's voice has been featured on several Broadway/Off-Broadway Cast Recordings, including: Forbidden Broadway - Volume 2 (Unoriginal Cast Recording), My Favorite Year (1992 Original B'way Cast), Louisiana Purchase (1996 Original NY Cast Recording), The Boys from Syracuse (1997 Studio Cast), Little Me (1999 B'way Revival), Wonderful Town (2003 B'way Revival Cast), and Monty Python's Spamalot (2005 Original B'way Cast). *THIS PAGE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION - INFORMATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE PENDING VERIFICATION AND/OR CORRECTIONS*
