The Steven Marcus Admiration Page

(LINE IMAGE)

This page covers everything you need to know about Actor Steven Marcus. Don't think you know who he is? Oh, but you probably do...

Some of you may remember him as Miles Reed, the talented (not to mention handsome) Jazz Musician in 'The Case of the Mystery Weekend', and perhaps (if you even knew it at the time) as Louie the Mobster in 'The Case of the Masked Avenger'. But if you still don't recognize him, believe me, you will soon enough.

Steven's an awesome actor, having played two very different, contrasting roles (as a bad and good guy) in the Mathnet episodes I mentioned above, along with several appearances on the various Law & Order series of shows. His talent should be featured in more work, I think. Talk about underappreciated (hence why I've created this site). And as a person, he is totally laid back, sweet and sensitive, and very dedicated to his work to boot!

I met up with him in July of 2001 in New York City, and he was a very sweet guy, that is for sure. You can see a couple pictures and read a bit about that day here. Perhaps one day we'll meet again, but in the meantime, I'm doing what I can to make sure people know more about his work, past and present.

Since I've had this page going for so many years, previous visitors may have noticed my admiration has gone from a bit silly (and perhaps overly so) to a more "mature" appreciation and devotion to his work. I suppose that makes enough sense, and is no cause for worry. I am NOT stalking Steven, nor would I ever do so, so no worries; I just have a very keen interest in his career. (Just don't want anyone getting the wrong idea about that.)

NOW PLAYING! Currently making the festival rounds is a film that was made in New York pre-9/11 (with the title Directing Eddie) and was re-worked and being re-released under the name Redirecting Eddie. Director Laurence Kaldor has really done quite the job at making his first film a success, so please check it out! Steven plays "Jacky Dunkirk" in the film, and has a few scene-stealing moments in it.

Also making a few festival appearances is the Neal Cassady Movie, in which Steven plays a character called Sammy Dillard. There is no website for it, but you can learn more on the IMDB.

Steven also just wrapped up filming another movie by the same Director as the Neal Cassady Movie, Noah Buschel, called The Missing Person, which is slated to be released sometime in 2008.

AVAILABLE NOW! The DVD for Bristol Boys (in which Steven plays "Mr. Murphy") is now available in many outlets for purchase - go to their official MySpace page for more info.

~~>I'm always looking for the more obscure shows Steven has done on VHS tape (or even on CD-R/DVD). If you can help, let me know and I'll tell you what I need!<~~

So, there you have it. Enjoy, and tell me what you think!
