What?
You didn't already know about Steven? Well, don't just ask me to tell you how great he is,
trust the words of those who have worked with, met and seen him in action!
You'll also find some of the
Awards/Nominations from plays and films Steven has been in listed here. Just a small
example of the great work he and the fellow cast(s) contribute to "The Biz".
Just so you know: A lot of the
info I have to share comes from other sites/sources, so I'll put the links up to those
sites where I have read info and don't feel right posting here (since I don't have
official permission to post their complete quotes here). If you disagree with their
comments, you can take it up with them...not me! *G*

Past Big News!
Steven's Broadway Play from 1998,
"Ah, Wilderness!" (in which he played the Bartender), was nominated for a Best
Revival Tony Award, but unfortunately didn't win. (I still luv ya though,
Steven, even if I didn't get to see you in a tux! Damn! *SIGH*)
Things People Have Said about
Steven!
Jim Thurman, who wrote/produced the
Square One TV series (with Mathnet) told me via an E-mail interview how great an actor
Steven was to work with on Mathnet. In fact, he cast Steven in two different episodes,
because he admired his talent so much!
A fan who recently saw "One Flew
Over the Cuckoo's Nest" E-mailed me a short while back and told me how they met
Steven after a show. I hear he is as cool as ever in person and a very nice guy. (Now if
only I could meet him!)
Walter Foote, who is the Director of
the Indie flick, "The Tavern"
(in which Steven played Jerry), told me Steven did absolutely brilliant work in his film.
This film has done well in the Festival circuit, I've heard!
Read a few comments from Douglas Zimmerman, who
directed Steven in another Indie film, "He Outta Be Committed" (in which he
plays Dr. Rose). This too has done well in the Festivals. He's told me what a great person
and awesome actor Stevie is too. Additionally, the Webmaster of that site (who also
was in the film) told me what a kick ass actor and great friend Steven is. *G* To find out
more about what Douglas thinks of Steven, go to the "Committed" Website and read
the "Cast" section. NOTE: I'll be seeing this film soon
also, so I'll let you know how it is!
Perhaps the coolest news I've heard
comes from the folks over at the "Directing
Eddie" (in which he plays Jacky Dunkirk) site. Not only has this film done very
well in the Festivals (with more showings coming soon), but Director Laurence
Kaldor spoke highly of Steven's work in a April 2nd eYada interview. He talks about
how Steven received a standing ovation after shooting an on-location scene that nearly
moved Steven to tears! (Talk about dedicated acting here!) If you'd like to hear the whole
interview (it's a little long, but worth listening to), check it out here! (NOTE: If you want to hear only the
part about Steven, you'll need to skip ahead to the program at 1:10:00. The whole
interview is great though!)
I also read somewhere online (can't
remember now), some praises about Steven's part in the play "Self Defense",
which was done back in 1987. He played the part of Ronnie, and critics said he played the
role to the hilt (which is good). If I find this article again, I'll write more. :@ )
*MORE COMING SOON, I HOPE!*
