Who they were, what they had, and why this all comes as no surprise to many Fans...

Let's take a basic look at the lives of Miles and Pat, shall we?

The 'Jive' on Miles Reed:

He was a good-looking, youngish, talented Jazz Musician.

He spoke a "Beatnik" lingo that Pat understood (man).

He admitted to Pat he loved Mathnet.

He had a certain gentle and sweet disposition he used with Pat alone.

He was able to think like a true Detective during tough times at the Qualms.

He was wrongly accused of stealing a violin* and went to trial.

Shootin' that Angel Face at Pat...

Now here's the face of a man who's finally found himself a woman! One who understands and admires him, at that!

Pat Tuesday's Similarities to Miles:

She was a cute, youngish and single Mathematician who just happened to love music, including the performance of it.

She knew exactly where Miles was coming from, and helped him to 'communicate'.

She worked for Mathnet, and Miles loved that show, man.

She was a usually friendly and intelligent person, much so towards Miles.

She was onto Miles and his good heuristics.

She was wrongly accused of stealing jewelry and went to trial also.

Pat had something big going on with a certain Jazz Musician, and she knew George suspected something was up.

It could only get bigger from here!

So, Miles Reed (aka Miles Toogo) was your basic (not to mention handsome) 'Beatnik' Jazz Musician who loved Mathnet and Pat Tuesday was an insightful Mathnetter in need of some love; the combination of the two causing some instant attraction between them. And I'm told these two indeed had a sizzling relationship 'under the pool table' (so to speak). Might seem rather offbeat to some of you, but then so was Mathnet at times. And c'mon, these guys were adults...what would be any different from what you'd do with your 'Free Time'?

And I'll tell ya now, this was all confirmed straight from the source, Jim Thurman, Senior Writer/Producer of Square One TV and Mathnet. (Or at least when I asked, he didn't deny it; he said more along the lines that my projections, being what you read here, were exactly right.) So even the writers knew the 'Netters were entitled to social lives outside of Mathnet H.Q.! Got it? Good!

So then, what actually happened? Read on!
